My Story
Shunwa Takayama, a 18-year-old student in Tokyo, was born in Japan and spent his elementary years in New York, where he was exposed to diverse perspectives and a project-based learning environment. These experiences ignited his passion for environmental advocacy, education, and global awareness. Determined to create meaningful change, Shunwa transitioned from learning to leadership by founding Student Global Success Community (SGSC), an organization dedicated to educating and providing Japanese youth with reosurces which are often hard to find and held away from them with expensive pay walls. He hopes to be able to bring out the best of every student, maximizing their potential, and empowering them to take impactful action and steps to furthen their student life and career. Shunwa is also deeply interested in law, research, and the social sciences. He actively pursues knowledge in these fields through independent study and hands-on experience, continually seeking opportunities to expand his understanding and contribute meaningfully to society.
